Visit of His Grace Raphael, Bishop of Ilion

On the Saturday of the Ascetics we had the blessing of hosting His Grace Bishop Raphael of Ilion for his first parish Divine Liturgy following his ordination to the episcopate earlier in the week. His Grace preached on the Gospel reading of the day in Greek and English, offering the faithful an explanation of the Lord’s Prayer. On Clean Monday, His Grace will return to St Andrew’s church in Edinburgh, from which he will serve our sacred Archdiocese as assistant bishop to His Eminence Archbishop Nikitas, tending to the Orthodox faithful of Scotland and the north of England. We thank His Grace for his visit and wish him every success in his new ministry.
